The healer you have been looking for is your own courage to BE yourself completely.
From a young age, I was fascinated by the biology of the human body. I thought if I could just look inside and make sense of the complex processes, I’d understand Life. Then that would in turn, help me understand why I felt so out-of-place and alone.
Exploring the depths of anatomy and physiology as a radiographer, I quickly realised my answers were not going to be found there.
My fascination moved to our psyche and our entire non-physical nature – I wanted to know what makes us human, what drives our behaviour and what helps us connect with one another, to live full, vibrant lives. And ultimately, what brings us back to our essence, after losing parts of ourselves, under the debris of life (for me this was a difficult childhood).
I searched my soul and discovered, studied and experimented using tool after tool and method after method, picking out all those approaches that created change within me. From yoga, meditation and breathwork, through somatic practices, Ayurveda and Shadow work, I read a myriad of books, took courses and dove as deep as I possibly could, into every research, filtering all that I learnt through my own life experience.
Now I know there are as many paths to wholeness as there are humans on this beautiful planet but I trust that whatever the modality, true healing and transformation can only happen in the space between two (or more) people. That sacred space, alongside deep listening, full presence and complete acceptance.
This ultimate place of healing and compassion is, in fact, a place of Love. Love, not in the shape and form I believed it to be as a young person, but love as the container, of our entire human experience.
I am devoted to using and continually refining and enriching the tools that help me craft this space for myself and then be a guide for those that feel drawn to share their journey with me.
